"In the Marketplace" 2023

"This painting depicts one of India’s many marketplaces. In November 2022, I had the privilege of visiting India for the first time, and these market areas became somewhat of a staple of my trip. I was fascinated by the amount of chaos and life present in such a cramped space. I wanted to explore the idea of identity through nationality, specifically my perspective on the marketplaces and their beauty. My intention was to create a perception of my country that both those who have not visited it and those who have, could appreciate."
